The fundamental distortion

The fundamental distortion
by OurHorses

It seems that the deeper we go into the exploration of any relationship the more questions arise.  The more questions, the more ways people create to answer the questions,  and the more effort we make to gather together friends who believe in the same answers.

A fundamental concept that many animal lovers believe is that we think we can save animals and make their lives better by saving animals and making their lives better.

The reality is that an animal will be cared for only when a human is cared for.  A hurting, scarred, beaten human will likely mimic the behavior that made her that way.  That is what she knows.  It is only by saving humans that we can ensure that all animals will be cared for, and all humans as well.  This is why we will strive to find balance in our own lives between spending enough time with horses, or other pursuits we love and helping the larger family of humans that we belong to so that together we can live in peace.

Here are more questions that we will be exploring in the coming months:

Who are we caring for?
How big is our family?
How are we spending our time?
How do we know what is a good cause?
How do we know what is a good use of our time?

We horse lovers are re-examining our place in helping this world.  We hope you join us.

  1. Hi,
there is so much going on with the questions, i like how the first keeps expanding the concepts to the last question.
looking at question 5, i feel if a person is using their talents to the fullest, is trying to, it trickles down the line.

  2. This is so fundamental. It is the exact thread we are weaving into a beautiful tapestry. Our horses, our relationships with people, other animals and all the elements of the earth stand to gain if we continue to share our thoughts and open our hearts to possibilities. Truly, I feel the winds of change and I feel that it begins with self-knowledge and learning self worth minus the judgements and labels others place upon us. If we free ourselves from the prison of self doubt, then we will free our horses from pre-conceived notions about them and how they should be treated. One word will make this possible: BELIEVE.
