Realigning horses and humans

OurHorses is born from the dreams of many children...

...now those children are adults and they intend to live in this world and have as much fun as they did as kids.  They will help each other and care for the animals and people in their lives because they have taken the steps necessary to remember that any personal success is only measurable in terms of the uplifting of others.

In 2012 we live in a world of turmoil.  At OurHorses we are building lives with our horses that bring us inner peace.  Together we are discovering and sharing ways for horses and humans to explore new relationships beyond pain-based control.

If you share in this vision or you want to learn more today you can:

Read the book Horse as Teacher, and share your voice.

We are at an exciting moment of transformation in our relationships with horses. In the past, humans harnessed the power of horses to expand our physical world.  When in most societies, the reliance on horse power was replaced by mechanical solutions, we continued to keep horses in our lives, they provided us with entertainment and recreation.

Now we are exploring our future - moving to a higher level, where horse-human relationships enrich the lives of both horses and humans, a new world where mutual understanding and respect replace pain-based control. We are shedding outdated traditions and ways of being with horses and building new ones.
Follow this daily blog throughout March as we share about how this world is being born.  In this blog you will meet some of the people who through OurHorses are creating their dreams.  Learn about how Our Horses are no longer beasts of burdens, but co-creators in this new world.

We hope that you will not just follow but join us in this exciting journey, and help us bring joy and healing to humans and horses.  We will show ways you can be involved in the coming days.

For today, most importantly, share your experiences!  Post on this blog, email OurHorses, or comment on our Facebook page about your transformative experiences with horses, your hope for our future, your vision for moving past pain to true connection with horses.
